Margaret & Andy Watchorn

Margaret (singing teacher) and Andy are 'major protagonists' in the 'Northumbrian cultural scene' and they have recently released an album of their music called 'Lecchemede' . They have also contributed towards a CD called "The Quiet Hills". Andrew and Margaret play traditional music on Northumbrian Smallpipes and Fiddle respectively, with a wide repertoire of tunes from the North East and other parts of England, Scotland, Ireland, America, Sweden and Norway as well as original tunes composed by Margaret. They are both winners, many times over, in traditional music competitions for solo playing, tune composition and as a duet. Having had a busy year playing in 2005, this year looks even better; they have numerous engagements in the North East and bookings to play at festivals in England, France and Sweden.
